Want Healthy Eyes? Follow This Advice


As the senses of sight, the eye has a vital role in supporting all forms of human activity. Without a healthy eye, you may experience a bit of resistance, for example in a career.

Many ways to keep your eyes stay healthy, for example by eating nutritious foods that are good for the eyes. In addition, you can also follow some guidelines below to keep your vision remains in optimal condition:

1. Wear sunglasses

3. Limit your alcohol consumption

If you liked the consumption of alcohol, chances are it does not harm your eyes. But excessive drinking for long periods can cause eye damage. Alcohol abuse in the long term can cause optic nerve degeneration, which can lead to decreased vision, weakness, and decreased ability to distinguish colors.

4. Control blood pressure and cholesterol

High blood pressure (hypertension) if not treated can affect vision and even cause retinotherapy hypertension. But the good news of this condition can be prevented by keeping the blood pressure remained normal. In addition, it is also important to maintain healthy cholesterol levels. Because the high levels of cholesterol in the blood can lead to retinal vein occlusion (vascular eye disease).

5. Keep your blood sugar

High blood sugar levels are not controlled in the long term can lead to diabetes retinotherapy. Retinotherapy eye damage in diabetes is the innermost layer of the eye, the retina. Other eye complications associated with diabetes include: blindness, corneal erosion, cataract, double vision, and bleeding.

6. Antioxidant-rich foods

Eating foods rich in antioxidants such as spinach, kale, and mustard greens are very good not only for the eyes but overall health.Antioxidants are vitamins that protect and repair cells from damage such as infection, so keep your immune system stay strong. Fruits and vegetables are colorful high in antioxidants include berries, prunes, plums, sprouts, eggplant, beans, and red wine.
